Starting off with a bang with an eagle at 1 and a birdie at 2, Streelman confirms that he appreciates exotic destinations since he has only made one cut since March… in Puerto Rico. At 46 years old, the Chicago golfer hasn't tasted victory for more than ten years! It's also the eighth card under 68 this season to start a tournament from the two-time winner on the PGA Tour.

The title holder is one shot away from the head

Title holder, the South African Erik Van Rooyen is one shot away from the lead. The Cape golfer is the only non-American in the top 10 with Rico Hoey. The only three players surviving from the top 50 of the FedEx Cup after the package of Cameron YoungMax Greyserman et Austin Eckroat (-4) as well as Tom Hoge (-3), are all in the top 15 after a first round which could not be completed.

The Blues above par

Bad operation for our two French people who played above par to start this penultimate tournament of the season on the course ofThe Cardonal drawn by Tiger Woods. After an initial birdie on the easy par 5 of hole number 1, Martin Trainer (+1) got back into the race for the cut with two final birdies (17 and 18). Paul Barjon suffered with a +5 first leg and a card of 76 which already seems prohibitive to progress this weekend.
