Solid in the game, Félix Mory moved closer to the top of the ranking thanks to his 68 (-4) of the day. The Northerner feels able togo and hang a very nice card this Sunday at Alcanada.

NC, in Port d'Alcúdia

Planète: Are you satisfied with this 68 (-4)?

Felix Mory: Yes definitely, it was a great day of golf, I missed few shots. I managed the par 5s well today with four birdies, it was quite satisfying. Afterwards, I feel that there is something under my belt in terms of scoring, I have the impression of playing better than what my score reflects. But that's part of golf, the greens are very complicated. I'm staying positive for tomorrow and we'll see how it goes.

GP: There is this feeling that it could go better, like this putt which touches the hole at 18…

F.M. I've felt this way since the beginning of the week. My tee and fairway play is really good, I miss very few shots, maybe only three since Thursday. The rest is pretty solid too but I'm having trouble getting to a really low score despite my good level of play. To do that, I have to putt and for the moment, they don't fall.

Clearly, there are holes where it is forbidden to be too aggressive

GP: Does that leave good hopes for the last lap?

F.M. With golf, you never know. I've already done -9 or -10, but you shouldn't force things. I just have to play golf and do my job as best as possible. And then it will come or it will not come. I'll try to control what I can control and we'll see about the rest.

GP: So there won't be a big change in strategy for the last lap?

F.M. No because I'm pretty happy with how I played this course honestly. I don't feel like I'm playing short in these first three rounds. I commit my shots and I play the right areas. Clearly, there are holes where it is forbidden to be too aggressive because with the slopes and the speed of the greens, some downhill chips become unplayable.
