The LIV access tests will take place from December 12 to 14 at the Riyadh Golf Club. The format is identical to last year with one difference. In fact, there is only one place left and only the winner will be offered a right to play in 2025 on the circuit financed by the PIF (Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund). Please note, however, that the top ten in the ranking will qualify for all the International Series on the 2025 Asian Tour.

Last year Gregory Bourdy, Joel Stalter et Martin Trainer had lined up in what resembles the access cards of the DP World Tour which are in full swing at the moment in Europe. The announcement of the terms of participation in the Promotion Event of LIFE Golf This might give some people ideas.

This is who can line up and how the selection takes place.

Players who meet one of the following criteria are qualified for the 1st round on December 12:

  • Have been selected for the Walker or Palmer Cup team
  • Winner or finalist of the US Amateur, British Amateur, Asia-Pacific Amateur, Latino Amateur, European Amateur, African Amateur, the NCAA Championship or the individual ranking of the World Amateur Championships.
  • The first 15 players in the top 40 of the world amateur rankings
  • The first 25 players in the top 40 of the International Series ranking
  • The first 5 players in the top 10 of the Japan Tour, KPGA Tour, Sunshine Tour or the Australasian Tour
  • The first 30 players in the top 300 of the TUGR rankings* (competitor of the official OWGR world rankings)

The first 20 and tied from the first round advance to the second round and the scores are reset to zero.

To access directly the 2nd round on December 13, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be in the top two of the world amateur rankings
  • Have finished the International Series season between 2nd and 8th place
  • Appear in the top 3 of the Japan Tour, KPGA Tour (Korea), Sunshine Tour (South Africa) or Australasian Tour
  • The first 5 players in the Top 30 of the DP World Tour or Korn Ferry Tour
  • The winners of the International Series or Asian Tour tournament in 2024
  • PGA Tour or DP World Tour tournament winners in 2023 or 2024
  • Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup players from the last 5 years
  • Major winners of the last 5 years
  • The first 15 players in the top 150 of the TUGR rankings
  • Players relegated at the end of the 2024 LIV season and invited players

The top 20 players after the second round advance to the final round of competition, and the scores are reset to zero again.

The final round takes place over 36 holes and at the end of the day on Saturday, the winner pockets $200,000 and his ticket to join LIV Golf in 2025.

If the tournament seems open to many professional and amateur players, in particular French players who could access directly to the 2nd round, via their classification in the Race to Dubai at the end of the season and/or winner of tournaments on the DP World Tour (e.g. : Lacroix, Ravetto, Guerrier, Pavon, Langasque), the only place available should deter more than one.

* The French in the top 300 of the TUGR are to date: Perez 102nd, Guerrier 127th, Pavon 128th, Langasque 166th, Lacroix 208th, Rozner 237th, Saddier 249th, and Coussaud 271st
