This Sunday, the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche club won the title of European club champion, in a shortened 36-hole event due to rain.

The Cabot formerly “ du Médoc Resort », hosted the European Club Championship this weekend. Due to heavy rain this Sunday, the organizers were forced to reduce the event to 36 holes compared to 54 hoped for.

A situation which benefited the French representative, Saint-Nom-la-Bretèchequalified thanks to his victory in French Cup. Indeed, the Ile-de- club led the competition on Saturday evening after the second round. Oscar Couilleau et Paul Franquet had launched the event perfectly on Friday with cards of 68 (-3) and 70 (-1). Saturday, these are the cardsAaron Van Hauwe (70, -1) et Oscar Couilleau (71, par) which were counted.

The team, coached by Arnaud Verhaeghewon with two strokes ahead of the Danes from Smørum Golf Club and four on the Dutch Hague Golf & Country Club.
