ABC Music in Narbonne was born from a friendship between four passionate musicians (Vincent Logette – Jean-François Desplas, Alain Rigolet, Pauline Malyeux) who wanted to create, in October 2010, their own associative structure, a school of musical learning through pleasure. The school year will start on September 16.

The goal of the founders, 14 years ago, of the ABC Music associative music school in Narbonne was simple: “to make music accessible to everyone, regardless of their age, financial means, schedule, level and plans.” Speakers, all independent and with a link to the world of live performance, have supervised them since the creation to transmit their knowledge, their know-how and their know-how as artists while adapting as best as possible to the objectives of each.

In 2010, ABC Music had about twenty students. In 2024, there will be about 150 students who will attend the 130 square meters of premises made available to them and will share 10 months of learning with the 9 speakers that make up the association.

Guitar (electric, folk, classical), drums, piano, violin, cello, transverse flute and singing (technique, interpretation, preparation for competitions and casting) are taught in individual lessons from the age of 6. Music theory (often a source of anxiety for students and a reason to give up on musical practice) is applied directly to the instrument! Musical awakening is offered to children up to the start of CP.

A real pool of talent

A successful transmission because many ABC-musicians have found themselves on stage or on French television. To name a few: Lou (The Voice Kids, Demain nous appartient, Molière l’opéra rock), Célia Garcia (vocals) and Tom Lacoste (guitar) who perform in the Mercury orchestra, Lysa Bonnefon puts her knowledge into practice in the Saintbor Kids orchestra, Shanys, 2024 finalist of The Voice, Romane from The Voice Kids 2023 and Miss Marina who opened for Patrick Fiori at Les Barques en Scène and was… And it’s not over because the school is full of promising talents.

Registrations are never closed at ABC MUSIC and there are still a few places left for latecomers or undecided people. “A music school is the school of life and happiness. And there is no age to be happy, creative, imaginative and feel free while practicing music.”underlines a speaker.
