From October 27, KLM to expand transatlantic network with non-stop direct flight between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) and Portland, Oregon (PDX). The company will offer three direct flights per week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) by Boeing 787-9.

In the cabin, the passenger will have the choice between 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Comfort Class and 224 seats in Economy Class. From the summer season 2025Air France-KLM plans to increase the frequency to five rotations per week.

Portland is KLM’s 21st direct destination in North America. This connection effectively replaces the flight previously operated by Delta Air Lines on the same route. From Paristhe fastest route is made via Salt Lake City with Delta.

The first Airbus A321neo on European routes

Moreover, KLM announces the entry into service of its brand new aircraft, the Airbus A321neo from mid-September. The aircraft will begin its first flights to Berlin, Copenhague et Stockholm. It is then planned on lines towards Paris-CDG, Prague and Vienna. KLM will integrate four A321neo into its fleet before the end of the year.

The aircraft is more fuel efficient, saving more than 20% compared to a Boeing 737. It also offers greater comfort to passengers. On board, in addition to a quieter cabin, Each seat is now equipped with a USB socket and a support for placing a mobile phone.
