The Star Academyhere we go again! The 15 new students of the Château de Damarrie-les-Lys were revealed during the launch bonus for season 12 of the Nikos Aliagas show on Saturday October 12, 2024 on TF1.
Among them: Charles. This young 18-year-old apprentice singer comes from Pléneuf-Val-André in Brittany. He is a great enthusiast of horse riding, a discipline he has practiced since his early childhood. “It’s a passion that allows me to escape. I’ve had Gipsy (her mare, editor’s note) for a year. The relationship that I share with her is truly a brother and sister relationship. She represents a lot of things, work and love”he confided in his portrait.
Charles (Star Academy 2024): a young Breton not just a rider…
The young academician now intends to prove that he is not just a rider. Upon entering the Star Academyhe is determined to show off his singing skills. “People tend to know me as the horseman, but I’ve been singing since I was really little. But I never took singing lessons… The only people who taught me to sing, that been my family who loves singing and music”he explained.
According to his mother, Charles conveys emotions without realizing it when he sings. “The modesty that Charles has, he puts it at the service of his songs. He has this sensitivity that is not found in everyone”confided Johanna. And from his first performance on the TF1 TV show, the young Breton managed to demonstrate it. His father Gaël, present in the audience, could not contain his tears during his performance of I’m going by Florent Pagny.
An act that did not escape Nikos Aliagas. At the end of the performance by the new student from the Château de Damarrie-les-Lys, the one who made a huge dumpling live said to Gaël: “You are proud of your son. Obviously to see him in the light like that, it’s impressive. What do you want to tell him this evening because you’re not going to see him for several weeks – if everything goes well for him -?”. To which Charles’ dad replied: “What can we say? It’s such a great emotion, such a pleasure… He worked so hard for all of this. To see him today… Go for it! Do it pleasure in the world!”.
He’s a natural singer, he was born with this gift!
The host then sought to find out from Michaël Goldman how Charles had made the difference during the castings of the Star Academy 2024. “Oh well, he’s a natural singer! That is to say, he’s like a top model. He walks in the street, he’s more beautiful than the others! He was born with this gift- there !”commented the director of the most famous academy in France.
