Comedian Lee Jin Ho will be stepping down from “Knowing Bros” (“Ask Us Anything”).
On October 14, comedian Lee Jin Ho issued a statement on Instagram, confessing to illegal gambling and the heavy debt it has caused him.
Later that day, the production team of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” announced, “Lee Jin Ho will leave the program starting with this week’s recording. We will edit out as much of his previously filmed content as possible.”
Furthermore, due to the controversy, Lee Jin Ho did not attend the press conference for Netflix’s variety show “Comedy Revenge,” which was held on the morning of October 14. Addressing the controversy surrounding the comedian, Netflix commented, “We are deeply disappointed to learn about this just a day before the show’s premiere. ‘Comedy Revenge,’ like all our content, is a result of the dedication and hard work of not only the comedians but also the hundreds of staff and crew working behind the scenes.”
They added, “Because the program is structured around team competitions, fully editing out specific teams presents significant challenges to the narrative. We ask for your understanding.”
