Jared Leto calls Ukraine war ‘these problems’ and mentions concerts in Russia

Leto disgraced himself with words about Russia

At a concert in Belgrade, Jared decided to talk to his fans. At first, he listed countries and asked people to clap if they heard the name of their country. When the singer asked if there were any Russians at his concert, he heard a lot of shouting.

After that, he decided to talk to Russians. The singer did not speak about the full-scale war that Russia has waged against Ukraine. Leto only expressed his hope that when “these problems” are over, he will go back to St. Petersburg and Moscow with concerts.

“I’ll tell you that one day when all of these problems are finished, we will come visit you and your homeland,” the artist addressed the Russians.

Naming Russian cities, Jared also mentioned Ukraine. He dreams of “throwing a party” in Kyiv. But it is unlikely that he will be welcomed after such words.

Ukrainians react

Blogger Ihor Lachenkov made a post, publicly addressing Jared and his group. He also posted videos of Leto admiring Russians and dreaming of a concert in the aggressor country.

“Are you aware that there is WAR in Ukraine and not just some ‘problems’? Are you aware that russians voluntarily come here to commit genocide and war crimes? If what you said is okay for you, if you sympathize war supporters, then you are NOT welcome in Ukrainian capital Kyiv,” Lachen wrote.

Also, the comments on Leto’s and his group’s Instagram pages are already clogged with angry words.

  • “Please come to Ukraine to feel the level of ‘problems’”
  • “Look at the problems that Russia has brought. In Bakhmut, Rubizhne, Mariupol”
  • “Total disappointment”.
