According to the information provided by the sport.es portal, Wojciech Szczęsny took part in a training session at the FC Barcelona facility for the first time on Thursday. Earlier, on Monday, the Pole underwent medical tests immediately after arriving from Malaga.

Now he is working intensively in the gym under the supervision of FC Barcelona coaches to prepare for appearances in league matches. The club provided him with an individual training plan to help him return to the pitch as soon as possible.

Coach Hansi Flick, who gave his players Wednesday and Thursday off, plans to return the team to training on Friday at 10:30. The team will be preparing for the league match against Deportivo Alaves. The match will be played on Sunday at 4:15 p.m.

This summer, Szczęsny announced his retirement and changed his mind when Blaugrana approached him. The goalkeeper intends to fully return to playing at the highest level. The period of the international break is a key moment for him to train intensively and get back into full shape.

The Polish goalkeeper also practices every day according to his own training plan and under the supervision of personal trainers. On Thursday, he also had the opportunity to meet several other Barcelona players returning from injuries.
