Laetitia Casta multiplies her professional projects. The one who was spotted as a teenager first embarked on a career as a model before turning to cinema and theater. On the private side, the actress has been in a relationship with actor Louis Garrel for almost ten years. In the columns of “Madame Figaro” this Friday, September 27, 2024, Laetitia Casta spoke openly about her relationship with her companion: “Love stories can take you towards the best of yourself, in a movement two. On the other hand, when a man tried to change me, it was catastrophic! Any confinement is unbearable for me. With my husband, Louis Garrel, we don’t even ask the question. Freedom is natural for him as it is for me. It couldn’t work otherwise,” revealed the actress.
Together, the couple welcomed a little boy in 2021. The actress was already the mother of three children. Concerning motherhood, Laetitia Casta wanted to re-establish the truth: “A child does not come to make you a woman. I read this sometimes in magazines and it really annoys me. ‘The fulfillment of motherhood’, as if a woman only existed by becoming a mother, when it is just an option,” confided Laetitia Casta. And added: “To be a woman, you need a space of your own, of solitude with yourself. The child does not come to bring this to you, nor can you impose this role on him. I always say: ‘A child is something more’. These are people who come with their world, their point of view,” she explained.

Writing his first feature film
The actress has successfully reconciled her role as a mother and her professional life. Moreover, it is teeming with future projects. After a career in front of the camera, she will launch into directing: “At the moment, I am writing my first feature film, with Vanessa Filho, for whom I shot Le Consentement. When we met, I immediately loved this woman, her wisdom, her literary power. I had my idea for a film for seven or eight years, I asked him: ‘Do you want to write with me?’. In this feature film, Vanessa will be co-writer, me director. But she also has a next film that she has to direct, where I will play with Vanessa Paradis,” she concluded.
