Tributes to Alain Delon continue. Eight days after the death of the silver screen icon, this Monday, August 26, the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival organized a screening of the feature film Our storydirected by Bertrand Blier in 1984. Alain Delon shared the bill in this dramatic comedy with Nathalie Baye, who was present for the occasion.

The arrival of the actress in this CGR cinema, accompanied by Dominique Besnehard who is the co-general delegate of the festival, was filmed by the newspaper Charente Libre. Nathalie Baye arrived to the applause of a full room, obviously, before answering the questions of the presenter. Filming with Alain Delon was “pleasant“, according to the actress with four Césars, especially in the second phase. At the beginning, the actor was reserved, as Nathalie Baye explained.
Alain Delon, a partner on screen “dark but endearing“
“We got along very well. He was a very secretive man, very… Very lonely, to tell the truth… He didn’t go to the school of laughter” she joked, provoking laughter from the audience. The actor saved Brigitte Bardot from drowning
Among the many other actresses who have paid tribute to Alain Delon, Brigitte Bardot did so twice. First in a handwritten letter in which she mourned the loss of “a friend, an alter ego, an accomplice“. Then, a few days ago in Paris Match, the living legend told an astonishing anecdote about filming with Alain Delon: “He became the character he played. An anecdote: I was dressed in a heavy medieval dress, very colorful, the scene wanted us to fall together into a pool. I almost drowned and it was Alain who held my head out of the water. It was very close, we often laughed about it together… later!“.
