Over the seasons, he had established himself as one of the darlings of the Stade Vélodrome. A tough defender, a player with a strong temperament and a decisive counter-attacker, Chancel Mbemba expressed all his talent in the colours of theMarseille Olympics during the last two campaigns.
But this level of performance was not enough to perpetuate his situation in Marseille. Placed in the “loft” alongside players like Samuel Gigot or Jordan Veretout, Mbemba will therefore not have the opportunity to show his potential to Roberto De Zerbi.
