Here’s Your IOC “Mercy” for You. 88 Russians Deprived of Paralympic Opening Ceremony

The latest hypocrisy of officials is no longer surprising.

Fortunately or not, our athletes missed the opening of the recently concluded Paris Olympics. However, officials from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), headed by Thomas Bach, generously invited the Russians to the closing ceremony, despite the initial ban.

The “kind” IOC invited Russians to the closing ceremony of the Games. Knowing that all our people have long since left

Some took this decision as a signal that the attitude of the IOC and the entire world of sports towards our athletes was changing. However, even then it was clear that the invitation of neutral Olympians to the celebration could be explained by a very simple fact: by August 11, none of the 15 Russians remained in Paris. And they could no longer come to see Tom Cruise, Nike of Samothrace and the devil.

But even if this did not convince anyone, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is in a hurry to disappoint everyone: the ban on the participation of Russian Paralympians in the opening ceremony of the Games is in force. This was reported by the deputy head of the apparatus of the Russian Paralympic Committee Ivan Potekhin.

88 athletes will miss the festival. At least, that is how many of our Paralympians are supposed to take part in the Games. So much for “mercy”. So questions about the future of Russian sports on the international stage remain open, and in the near future, judging by everything, our so-called Western partners will not change their course.

The opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympics, we recall, will take place tomorrow, August 28. The competition will last until September 8. Russian athletes will take part in 5 of the 22 sports: track and field (46 athletes), swimming (34 athletes), table tennis (four athletes), triathlon (two athletes) and taekwondo (two athletes).
