On Tuesday, February 4, RM Sotheby's will sell a very special F355 GTS in Paris in Paris: the one who would be the first personal sports car of Michael Schumacher after his arrival at Ferrari in 1996.
This model, freshly presented at the time, is distinguished not only by its prestigious history, but also by the signing of the seven -time world champion on the siege as well as by many archive photos attesting to its link with the German pilot.
A Ferrari chosen by Schumacher himself
Produced at the beginning of 1996, this F355 GTS features a rare blue shade Le Mans associated with a cream leather interior, a configuration that Schumacher would have himself selected.

His maintenance book reveals that she was delivered to Weber Management GmbH (Willi Weber company, pilot manager) on April 30, 1996, just two days after the European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, where Schumacher had won the second place.
The maintenance of the car was provided by an official Munich Ferrari center until September 1997. However, the exact duration of possession and use by Schumacher remains uncertain.
-An atypical course and a Ferrari Classiche certification
In May 2002, the F355 GTS changed owners to join Pierre Valentin in Mougins (France), before being acquired by Christopher Allen.
The F355 GTS was purchased by the current owner in 2004 and received Ferrari Classiche certification in 2020. This document reports that the car no longer has its original engine. The latter would have been replaced by an improved engine for Michael Schumacher (a fact that remains to be proven).
