For this appetizer of around thirty kilometers timed around Bisha, it was Toyota driver Henk Lategan who achieved the best time, one second ahead of the Ford of last year's prologue winner, Mattias Ekström, and twenty seconds ahead of the Dacia of five-time winner Nasser Al-Attiyah. The three major manufacturers and favorites of this Dakar 2025 are there from the first kilometers.

You have to look at seventh place to see Sébastien Loeb and his co-driver Fabian Lurquin. The nine-time WRC world champion has big ambitions for this Dakar and intends to shine the colors of Dacia for the Romanian brand's big debut on this rally. Defending champion Carlos Sainz did not take any risks with his Ford Raptor while Guillaume de Mevius, surprising second last year, suffered a puncture on his Mini and finished lower than 50th place.

This prologue, which is not taken into account for the general classification, is used to know the starting order for the first stage scheduled for tomorrow. Thus, the crews having achieved the ten best times can choose when they wish to set off on the 499 kilometers which await them on Saturday, still around Bisha.
