On his way to Doha, where the Champions Trophy will be contested against AS Monaco, Luis Enrique spoke to the media, discussing in particular his ambitions in the transfer window. Aware that the top players are not available, the PSG coach still hopes to strengthen his squad, but he knows that it will not be easy.
The winter transfer window has just opened, and it is still difficult to know what PSG will actually do during the month of January. Indeed, the priority seems to concern the sale of players deemed undesirable, like Randal Cole Muani et Milan Skriniar. But at the same time, the PSG will remain on the lookout to strengthen its workforce as confirmed Luis Enrique from the plane which takes the Parisians to Doha where they will play the Champions Trophy against theAS Monaco.

We are always open to the idea of expanding our team, but today, after seeing my players train, I realize how lucky I am to be coach of a club with this quality, this ambition and the level of the players. It's a pleasure for me », blurted out the coach of PSG in front of the media, before continuing and opening the door for the arrival of other players.
… but is aware of the difficulties of the winter transfer window
« Of course, if we can expand the team, we will try to do so, but it is a very tough task, especially in transfer periods. Top players are not available. It's already hard in the summer, but it's even harder now. We always want to improve, but we remain calm, because we see the way the team and the club are developing and I think we will continue to improve the level of our performances, a level which is already very high », added Luis Enrique.
