Even if you're not in the market for a new gaming console, it's hard not to take a look at this stunning rig up for sale on the Collecting Cars site. This is a unique hand-built 1:1 scale replica of the 1967 Formula 1 Lotus 49 that is also a racing simulator.
The computer that powers the system is a 3×3 Scan PC with a 1660 graphics card paired with a 50-inch Phillips flat screen. The Lotus, which makes up the front three-quarters of the car, is 2.8 meters long and 1.1 meters wide, a little more than an oversized sofa.

The car is equipped with a direct drive engine to reveal steering reactions. It is also equipped with a custom gear lever and an electronically adjustable Heusinkveld Pro triple crankset. A leather-trimmed padded seat and red replica Lotus steering wheel complete the interior.
The machine, completed in 2018 as a demonstrator for Classic Race Simulators, has a green vinyl exterior with a faithfully recreated livery. It has visible rivets that follow the original model, a correct wraparound windshield, dual bullet style mirrors, and real Dunlop tires wrapped around fiberglass front wheels.
It's also not perfect, with some scuffs and scratches. The machine has recently undergone an overhaul by Simbiotix Ltd. At the time of writing, the current bid stands at £1,200 (€1,450 at today's exchange rate). Make your offer before it's too late.
