Lando Norris missed out on the drivers' world title this year, but he is confident 2025 will be his year, something he declared after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
His race engineer, Will Joseph, also confirmed that winning the title would be the goal next year.
“I don't even think it needs to be said. In fact, Lando and I, one-on-one, haven't talked much since the end of the season because we've been dragged left and on the right, at the factory and elsewhere.”
“But it is a fact that it is our objective, we do not have to say it as such. You do not achieve it by saying that we are going to go there and do it. You achieve it by thinking about the how we're going to do things better, and that's what we've discussed and will obviously continue to discuss.”
After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Norris himself indicated that he really felt he could become world champion, something Joseph also saw in the 2024 season
“I think so. We all saw it in ourselves. That first win at the Miami Grand Prix was so important for that, and once you win the first one, it's not about saying : 'Oh, I can now drive differently, I can now act differently'.”
“It's just that you know it's possible, and therefore you just have to keep doing things right, it's about recognizing what got you to where you are, what worked well , and to do better, not just fix the things you did wrong.”
