Rare are gestations this long, even at Aston Martin. Revealed in the form of an AM-RB 003 concept in Geneva in 2019, it was transformed into a production model two years later, in 2021, but without revealing all of its characteristics. Another year later, we were able to approach the beauty during an event dedicated to the press, but again without unlocking all her secrets. It is finally at the end of 2024 that Aston Martin finally lifts the veil on the final version of its Valhalla hybrid supercar.
And there has been change! Originally, the English car was to be equipped with a hybrid V6. Finally, it was decided to include a more noble 4.0 V8 of Mercedes-AMG origin, reworked and electrified for the occasion by the English manufacturer. With 828 hp, this 4-liter V8 is associated with three electric motors developing a combined power of 251 hp. The total power of the supercar is therefore increased to 1,079 hp for 1,100 Nm of torque!

Thanks to this hybrid V8, the Valhalla can climb up to 350 km/h and reach 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The coupe features a new eight-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission, incorporating an electric motor and a hydraulically controlled E-Diff electronic rear differential. The electric motors are used both to move the vehicle without emitting any CO2 emissions locally, but only for 14 km and up to 140 km/h, but also to improve performance, of course. Thus, the English car always starts in Sport mode mixing thermal and electric, while Pure EV (100% electric), Sport+ and Race modes are accessible using a dial on the central console.
Depending on the driving modes, the aerodynamic optimization is different: the active rear wing remains lowered in Pure EV, Sport and Sport+ mode, while it raises by 255 mm thanks to hydraulic cylinders in Race mode. to generate more downforce and serve as an airbrake. The brand announces more than 600 kg of downforce between 240 km/h and 350 km/h. Ditto at the front where a small movable blade also allows you to gain support in Race mode.
Dry diet

To achieve this level of performance, Aston Martin also worked a lot on weight. The extensive use of carbon fiber and numerous technologies from Formula 1 reduce the dry mass to just 1,655 kg. Or a weight/power ratio of 652 hp per 1,000 kg depending on the brand.
The brand also specifies that it has integrated numerous technologies such as front axle torque vectoring, integrated power-assisted braking (IPB) associated with regenerative braking linked to the hybrid. In addition, the coupe has carbon ceramic brake discs (410 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear) which are supposed to withstand shock during use on the circuit.
A style already known

We had already known the style of Valhalla for several years. There is therefore no real surprise, except for the apple green presentation color, the accents of which are also found on the shields. The bodywork uses numerous exposed carbon fiber parts, while the two exhaust outlets are placed high up well upstream of the movable wing.
The interior is faithful to the concept cars and prototypes already presented, with here also the presence of carbon fiber and forged carbon inserts absolutely everywhere: central console, door panels, steering wheel, seats… The central console is modern with an element air integrating a small gear selector and the wheel dedicated to driving modes and starting the vehicle. The air vents are placed vertically on the top of this console, and point towards the central touch screen supported by digital instrumentation behind the steering wheel.
The Valhalla has already entered production, but will be limited to just a few units. Aston Martin confirms that 999 units will be delivered to customers from the second half of 2025, without specifying at what price.
