Crowned with his podium in Brazil alongside his teammate Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly wants to believe that the livery of the “Alpink” on the boulevards of Las Vegas will bring him luck in the gambling capital.

Taking advantage of the difficult conditions in the rain at Interlagos, the Alpine drivers achieved a real feat with this double podium which allowed the French team to jump to sixth place in the manufacturers' championship.

As the “godfather” Flavio Briatore himself pointed out, the risk of rain in the Nevada desert is zero and we should not count on this parameter this weekend.

Gasly is no less convinced that the team is on an upward slope and in a positive spiral, even if he is aware that it will not be necessary to make the slightest mistake to achieve a new jackpot.

Execute everything to perfection

“The fight remains intense for sixth place in the championship and we want to maintain our position, so we will have to make sure we execute everything to perfection, underlines Pierre.
We showed that we were capable of qualifying well and fighting for points. That will be our focus in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.”

“It will be a challenge, but the team has been exceptional and I really think we can do it, he says.
Last year, we had good qualifying in Las Vegas, but my race was complicated by tire management. The later time of the sessions and the cooler temperatures make it more difficult to warm up the tires for this event.”

A circuit like no other

“So it will be interesting again, but I must admit I had a lot of fun on the circuit last year, he concludes. I can't wait to get back there this year while focusing on another strong performance.”

For the last three meetings of this interminable 2024 campaign, the A524s will find the pink color of their sponsor BWT in the hope that it will bring happiness to Gasly and Ocon.
