A completely unusual weekend. Like last year for its big return to Formula 1 after 41 years of absence, Las Vegas saw things its own way to host the 22nd round of the 2024 season. The “city of sins” should not do so again in half measure with its circuit in the middle of the city, between the casinos… And at night.
To accommodate worldwide broadcasting at accessible times, the race weekend in Las Vegas will take place from Thursday to Saturday in the United States, but from Friday to Sunday in Europe, taking into account the time difference. Enough to create a little headache.
Concretely, the free practice sessions, qualifying sessions or even the race will take place in the evening on the west coast of the United States, or early in the morning the next day for France. Example with the first free practice session which starts at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday in Las Vegas, or at 3:30 a.m. French time this Friday. Logic !
The first two free practice sessions will take place this Friday, November 22 at 3:30 a.m. then 7 a.m. French time, and will be followed on Canal + Sport. The third session will take place on Saturday November 23 at 3:30 a.m. on Canal + Sport, while the qualifications will be followed at 7 a.m. on Canal + Live 1.
