Formula 1 | 'No urgency' to decide role for Magnussen at Haas

Kevin Magnussen is still on track to remain in the Formula 1 paddock next year – but in a very different role.

It appears that Valtteri Bottas, having lost his seat at Audi-Sauber for 2025, could return to Mercedes next year to be reserve driver and special advisor to Toto Wolff.

Magnussen, who is not retained by his current team Haas, could have a similar role in the Ayao Komatsu-led team. In July, the Haas F1 boss admitted he was looking to “find a way to continue working together somehow”.

Four months later, Komatsu confirms: “Yes, we are still working on it”.

The Japanese said details of the specific role Magnussen will occupy have not yet been decided.

"We're not really stressed," ajoute Komatsu.

“In a hat-trick of races like the one that has just passed or like the one that is coming, we are above all very busy trying to do our best on the track. Because there is no stress and we know how to whatever we want to do, there's no rush.”
