Leclerc finally summoned to the commissioners after uttering the “F-Word”

After uttering the famous “F-Word” at a press conference in Mexico, Charles Leclerc was finally summoned to the commissioners this Friday in São Paulo.

Swear words at press conferences have definitely made the news in recent weeks. While Max Verstappen had uttered the famous “F-word”, widely used in English, during the Thursday press conference in Singapore, he had been sanctioned with community service.

A sanction which caused controversy, and which even pushed Verstappen to give the shortest possible answers in the following official press conferences.

The subject therefore came back to the table at the end of last weekend, when Charles Leclerc, at a post-race press conference, accidentally dropped an “F-Word” when describing his fear at the end of the race. racing into the last corner.

Very quickly, the Monegasque recovered: “Sorry. Oh no!”before adding with a laugh: “Oh no! I don’t want to join Max.” A member of the FIA came to speak to him at the end of the press conference.

Verstappen's statements responsible for Leclerc's summons?

However, unlike Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc was not summoned by the commissioners following this language. A difference in treatment that the Dutchman did not hesitate to highlight this Thursday during the media day in São Paulo.

“Apparently it only matters to me anyway, because, you know, after the race in Mexico, someone said a bad word. I didn't hear anything”Verstappen indicated at a press conference this Thursday.

He also addressed the subject on another occasion in the São Paulo paddock: “It’s weird. In fact, what he [Charles Leclerc] said is worse than what I said in context, and it was a much bigger press conference with more people watching. But you know, I'm not going to dwell on that. Things are what they are.”

Coincidence or not, Charles Leclerc was finally summoned to the commissioners this Friday at 9:45 p.m. (French time), officially for his “language at the FIA post-race press conference in Mexico.”
