Lewis Hamilton, currently involved in with Mercedes, is closely observing the performance of his future team, Scuderia Ferrari.

The announcement of Lewis Hamilton's departure from Mercedes to Ferrari dates back to last February. Water has flowed under the bridge, and recent events in F1 have perhaps made us forget that a new seven-time Formula 1 World Champion will arrive at Ferrari in 2025.

Lewis Hamilton is having an up-and-down season, winning twice (Great Britain and Belgium), he is also facing nightmare weekends, like the United States Grand Prix.

If the seven-time World Champion probably does not count the days that bring him closer to Maranello, he who has established a real relationship with the team based in Brackley, he still admits to observing from the corner of his eye the recent performances of his future stable. “I am very interested in my future, of course. And so, in that regard, I keep an eye, yes. I monitor everything that happens.

For his part, Lewis Hamilton is encouraged by the performance of the red single-seaters and the good dynamics of the Italian firm.

And it's quite incredible to see the rise of the McLaren, then the Ferrari in the last few races, to see their progress. [J’essaie] just keeping an eye on everyone's car and what they're changing and what they're adding.

You know, we all watch the videos, all the drivers, we watch all the laps and we always try to see where we can save time. And there are cars that react differently, better or worse in certain areas.

Hamilton's farewell to Mercedes

Ferrari has overtaken Red Bull in the constructors' championship and now occupies second place in the standings with the McLaren team in its sights. If Scuderia Ferrari continues this momentum, Lewis Hamilton could then join the World Constructors' Champion team in 2025.

The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion would have liked to give his team one last title, but it is clear that Mercedes is not in a position to compete for victory with Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull.

Of course, that's what we all would have liked, to be in the fight for the championship”, he concluded.
