The two triple Formula 1 world champions have been chosen by Honda to represent a new advertising campaign called “Unstoppable Dreams” (unstoppable dreams).

Verstappen and Senna have the distinction of having won all their world titles powered by a Honda engine.

Ayrton Senna at the wheel of his McLaren in 1988, 1990 and 1991 and of course much more recently for Max Verstappen with Red Bull in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Current leader of the championship with 52 points ahead and six Grands Prix remaining, the Dutchman could win a fourth consecutive title with a Honda engine at his back.

In this advert, a poem is read, appearing at first as discouraging, before backtracking and taking on a completely different meaning, that of success.

Max Verstappen’s 2021 season is used in this ad, including images of his clash with Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone before seeing the Red Bull driver in Abu Dhabi where he won his first world champion title.

I spot them”Unstoppable Dreams” on the Honda YouTube channel

The translation of the poem read in the spot:

You won’t remember my name
This is the last time
You will see me at the top
My doubts
Will destroy
My dreams
The more I seem to learn
The more I seem to lose
I want to continue
But not today
This is the moment I give up
