See you at the end of November for the “Senna” series

The documentary series “Senna”, produced by Netflix in Brazil with the collaboration of the champion’s family, will be broadcast for the first time on the streaming platform on November 29.

This new series uses fiction, with authentic actors to play the different characters, unlike the biopic of the same name produced in 2010 which was more of a documentary.

The six-episode miniseries is expected to focus on the personality and private life of the three-time world champion by showing the trajectory of his triumphs, disappointments, joys and heartbreaks.

Release date confirmed

The idea is to retrace the Brazilian’s entire career since the series should begin when Ayrton Senna left for Great Britain to compete in his first Formula Ford race in 1981 and end with the tragic accident at Imola, during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Netflix invites us to the starting line from November 29, 2024 to discover this series which will plunge us into the heart of the career of the most emblematic F1 driver of all time whose destiny changed this sport forever.

A three-star cast!

Brazilian actor Gabriel Leone, already seen in the film Ferrari directed by Michael Mann where he plays the role of Alfonso de Portago, will play Senna on the small screen, soaking up all the facets of his personality.

The cast is very complete with actors, mostly Brazilian or Portuguese (the original version will be in Portuguese), to represent the members of the family or its successive companions as well as Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, Alain Prost, Nelson Piquet etc.

A very similar casting (see photo booth below) which confirms that Netflix has pulled out all the stops for this highly anticipated series: see you at the end of November!
