The controversy surrounding the price of tickets to Oasis concerts has reached unexpected proportions. While the dynamic pricing system, which increases the price of tickets according to demand, is the subject of investigations instigated by consumer advocates, including within the European Commission itself, the group has finally spoken out. According to them, the responsibility for this price increase must be borne by their promoters and their management team.

However, Nicolas Sirkis, the singer of Indochine, does not share this opinion. Questioned by RTBF, he questioned Oasis’ version and suggested that British artists could have opposed this method of Ticketmaster. “We are in excessive capitalism, we have to accept it, but we have the power to refuse it from time to time,” he declared. While the French group is going back on tour from January 31, 2025, he assured that their ticketing will not be subject to dynamic pricing.

“We’re imposing that,” says Nicolas Sirkis, who assures us that with Indochine, “there will never be gold squares or things like that.” […] “because it is refused.” According to the singer, the use of ticketing with prices fluctuating according to demand, already used by hotels and airlines, would above all allow promoters to earn “a lot, a lot of money.”
