Lewis Hamilton takes his first steps at Ferrari in Maranello
Lewis Hamilton made his first official appearance as a Ferrari driver at the team's headquarters in Maranello.
The first images of the seven-time world champion, dressed in a suit and tie, were broadcast on social networks on Monday morning, marking his entry into the legendary Ferrari factory. This moment symbolizes the historic transfer of the Briton, who went from Mercedes to Ferrari since January 1.
Hamilton thus begins his adventure with the Scuderia, with the program meeting with the team, adjusting his seat and first simulator session. His new teammate, Charles Leclerc, would follow these beginnings closely.
The 40-year-old is expected to take to the track later in the week, probably Wednesday at Fiorano, behind the wheel of a 2023 Ferrari.
After his first laps at Fiorano, Lewis Hamilton will travel to Barcelona to continue his tests at the wheel of old Ferrari single-seaters, with a view to his first season with the Scuderia.
-In accordance with F1's Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) regulations, Hamilton will be limited to 1,000km of testing over a maximum of four days with cars at least two years old.
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc could make a first run with the 2025 single-seater after its official presentation on February 19.
The Briton's next official appearance at the wheel of his Ferrari F1 2025 will be during pre-season testing in Bahrain, February 26-28, before his racing debut at the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
