The Dutch team Visma | Lease a Bike continues to focus on the future, with a policy based on the recruitment of promising young people and the training of its young talents. Since the creation of Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development in 2020, 19 riders have already reached the professional peloton. This winter, it's a certain Jørgen Nordhagen who moved from the development team to the team WorldTour for this new season. On the occasion of the official presentation of his training in Spain, he spoke about his adaptation alongside the stars of his team, Jonas Vingegaard et Wout van Aert.

Jørgen Nordhagen thus evokes his adaptation within the Dutch training: “The first few weeks with the WorldTeam have been fantastic. It's overwhelming, but I'm happy to be a part of it all. I know a lot of the riders from watching them race on TV, and now I'm their teammate. He It's natural that I turn to athletes like Jonas and Wout. They are the stars of this sport. In recent years, I have followed their performances closely. It's special to now be able to run with them and learn from them. I have already received a lot of advice from Jonas, with whom I shared a room during our training camp”.
As for his ambitions for the coming season and the following ones, the former cross-country skier is not giving concrete objectives for the moment, focusing instead on his development as a runner: “I will have the opportunity to show the best of myself in the years to come. The Visma | Lease a Bike team believes in me and gives me all the necessary tools to develop further. There are expectations coming from the outside, but I don't focus on that. Of course, I put a little pressure on myself to improve, but above all, I try to enjoy it.” he concludes.
