Christelle Reille’s successor is known. Lilian Couillez was elected this Saturday, in Roanne (Loire), president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional committee.
Two lists were in the running, the other was led by Joël Coufourier, 76 years old, who was until then secretary general of the AURA committee.
Lilian Couillez, 26, was first a runner at the VC du Pays de Saint-Flour. L’Auvergnat joined the board of directors of the AURA committee as soon as the merger took place in 2017. He was the president of the track commission since 2018.
He is also a speaker for various events, road, track, cyclo-cross, mountain biking and e-cycling. For several years now, he has been the voice of the Alpes Isère Tour, the Classique des Alpes, the Tour Alsace, the Franche-Comté pro weekend and even the Grand Prix de Saint-Etienne Loire. He also hosted several French Track Championships and the French Cyclo-cross Cup in Nommay.
Lilian Couillez was supported by Christelle Reille, who had wished not to run again after two mandates (read here).
