Store wine, beer or spirits in the cupboard after drunken parties. This year again, more than a quarter of French people plan to follow the drop “Dry January” or month without alcohol, according to an Ifop survey, for health reasons. Launched a dozen years ago in the United Kingdom, the initiative, promoted by the health authorities, allows us to question our relationship to (over)consumption of alcoholic beverages. And anchors itself in the heads. But for others, sometimes in a situation of dependence, sobriety has become a saving way of life. In this episode, Charlie, 38, a consultant in Normandy, stopped drinking alcohol a year and a half ago.
