Is a new great German team being born? Two continental formations, REMBE Pro Cycling Team Sauerland et Rad-Net Oßwaldhave in any case decided to merge to aim for the status of ProTeam. The name of the new team and its final composition will be announced soon. Founded in 2013 with the German Cycling Federation, the team Rad-net Oßwald stands out for its support of the development of young cyclists and track cycling, allowing some of its riders to participate in the Olympic Games. For his part, the REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerlandpresent in the peloton since 2016, is engaged in close collaboration with the regional federation NRW to continually develop its talents.

Ulrich Müllerteam director Rad-Net Oßwaldis enthusiastic about this decision: “Our teams have always been committed to promoting young talents and have already produced great champions. Some have joined the WorldTour and even become European or world champions. I am convinced that we will continue this path together and become even more strong”. Jörg Scherfdirector of REMBE Pro Cycling Teamshares his optimism: “This merger is an important step for success and development. This will allow us to continue to provide a professional environment for young talents and give them access to major competitions. We want to raise the team to a higher level”.

The German continental scene currently has seven other teams, including the development team of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe. However, no German team is currently playing in ProTeamwhile Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe is the only German team with a license WorldTour.
