After two editions at amateur level, the Pointe du Raz Ladies Classic will turn professional in 2025 and will even appear on the calendar of the Women's French Cup on May 8.
We now know a little more about the route of the event, since according to information from Le Télégramme, the race will offer 11.7 kilometers of white paths spread over 16 sectors, after having recently obtained an exemption from the International Cycling Union ( UCI). To date, it will be the only professional women's event in France to take this type of route next season.
Departure from the end of Pointe du Raz
Led by Yves Thomas, the race will start like in previous years from the end of Pointe du Raz and arrive in Plouhinec (29) after 143 kilometers, including 90 kilometers in a line in the heart of Cape Sizun. The final circuit, which will offer a stony sector, will have to be repeated six times.
On the 2024 edition won by Clémence Latimier, six kilometers of white paths had already been proposed on the last stage. Three sectors will be back, but the total distance of the paths will therefore be practically doubled.
In addition, two bike rides of 50 and 80 kilometers (as well as two hiking tours) will be offered before the start of the event.
