Third round of X2O Bathrooms Trophy this Sunday in Hamme for the Flandriencross. The race, held on a fairly short and fast circuit, quickly turned into a 3-way battle between Ceylin Alvarado (Fenix-Deceuninck), Sara Casasola (Crelan-Corendon) et Lucinda Brand (Baloise Trek Lions). Battle ultimately won by Ceylin Alvarado, who won a third victory in less than a week, having won the last two rounds of the Super prestige.
A contested race
After a short escape from Zoe Backstedta trio was quickly created with Alvarado, Casasola et Lucinda Brandthe Briton remaining slightly behind, for a very long time between 5 and 10 seconds. Brand is the one who sets the pace, trying numerous times to accelerate but unable to let go of her opponents. In the penultimate lap, Alvarado takes the lead of the group, a first place that she will never let go until the finish line where she manages to resist the return of Lucinda Brand. Sara Casasola took third place, a little narrowly in the final.
