It could have been beautiful, or even very beautiful, this 2024 training season Arkea – B&B Hôtelsbut when it comes time to take stock, things are unfortunately much more mixed.
And this for several reasons. First of all, the beautiful promises of spring clearly weighed on our heads and legs. And apart from Kevin Vauquelin's great victory on the roads of the Tour de France, it's difficult to find much satisfaction in the second half of the season.
Add to that the uncertainty linked to the future of the team, as well as the departures of Champoussin and Albanese, and you get a more than mixed feeling among the fans.
It's also difficult to blame them, because the 2025 season risks being very long in terms of challenges. Indeed, following a market very disappointing and with the departures mentioned above, the chances of remaining in the World Tour are almost zero. Worse still, it is difficult to say with certainty that the structure will still exist in 2026.
The runner: Kevin Vauquelin
Clearly the runner of the season at Arkea. Winner of a great stage of the Tour de France, the young Norman has taken another step forward this year. Also winner of a stage of the Etoile de Bessèges, but also 2nd in the Flèche Wallonne or even 8th in the Tour du Pays Basque, Kevin Vauquelin will logically be even more anticipated next year.
