Cycling. Road – Team Novo Nordisk has its 2025 squad… with four French people

The Team Novo Nordisk has lifted the veil on its full squad for 2025! Like last year, 20 riders will defend the colors of the American team next season, which has the particularity of being composed only of diabetic runners. And among these 20 elements, we will find no less than 4 French people! If Charles Planet retired, Lucas Dauge et Dorian Percrulerespectively members of the professional team of Team Novo Nordisk since 2021 and 2024, will be joined in a few weeks by Anton Muller et Celestin Wattellepromoted from the development team after several years spent within the latter. The Italian Jacopo Colladon and the British Hamish Armitt follow the same path, which therefore makes a total of five new faces with the Australian Bailey McDonald, arrived from outside and from the team BridgeLane.

Vassili Davidenko: “Investing in young talent is a cornerstone of the team’s history”

The team captain Andrea Peron At 36 years old, remains the pillar of the squad alongside the rising star of the classics, the Czech Matyas Kopeckyand the Italian roller Filippo Ridolfo. “We are very excited and looking forward to starting the new season“, declared in a press release the general director Vassily Davidenko. “Making changes is never easy, but it is part of professional sport and an important aspect of progressing and building for the future. Investing in young talent is a cornerstone of the Novo Nordisk team history and something we believe in.”

Being able to continue to give opportunities to guys like Bailey and Hamish to race alongside Andrea and Matyas and the others is something we're very proud of and it bodes well for our long-term goals. Keeping key riders is also a priority for us and after another successful season this year we knew where we wanted to strengthen the team, and our three riders from the development squad will bring ability and potential to the youngsters. We always try to find the right balance. This means everyone on the team has to work hard, a family thrives on unity and after 11 successful years with Novo Nordisk, a family is what we have become“, concludes the former runner.
