Awareness-raising action to cycle safely, a local version of the national action “Cyclists, shine!” will take place Tuesday, December 3. Departure at 6 p.m. from the Media Space square: online registrations are already possible.
It will have escaped no one's notice: since the time change, the days have become shorter and night falls much earlier as a result. Aware of the potential danger that this period represents for cyclists, Greater Narbonne will organize, Tuesday, December 3, a luminous “bike parade” in Narbonne in order to raise awareness among bicycle users of the importance of good bright lighting, to ensure their safety and that of others.
On the occasion of this light ride lasting one hour on the city's cycle paths, the Agglo and its partners will remind you of the compulsory visibility equipment when Cycling at night (rear lighting red, white front lighting, pedal reflectors, etc.), and will provide valuable advice to be even more visible, and therefore circulate in optimal safety conditions.
Also supported by the City, Côte du Midi and the Vélocité association, this action is part of the national campaign “Cyclists, shine!” supported by the French Federation of Bicycle Users, which runs until December 15. To participate, cyclists must register before November 22 on the Grand Narbonne website: the departure will take place at 6 p.m. on the Espace Média square.
