French cyclo-cross champion at the start of the year, the young cyclist living in Beauvaisis has also just won a French MTB Cup at the end of September. All after only three years of Cycling.
French hat-trick in BMX, double in road cycling, gold for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and silver for Victor Koretzky in mountain biking… French cycling shone this summer during the Olympic Games but also Paris 2024 Paralympics (28 medals). And in the region, it is the young Louis Ledoux who shines with his performances.
French cyclo-cross champion at the start of the year, the 14-year-old cyclist who lives in the town of Juvignies north of Beauvais (Oise) won a French MTB Cup on September 22 in Agde (Hérault). Already a great track record even though he started cycling only… three years ago.
“I did different sports before and we found the Team Oise organization where I hung out in La Neuville-en-Hez and I really liked this sport »says the 3rd grade studente who will take his certificate at Notre-Dame de Beauvais college this year.
Followed seven to eight hours a week on average, his weekends are often occupied by his Tour de France mountain bike competitions alongside his parents who support him and who get involved in the game even though they don’t come “not a bike at all”as his father tells us.

Join a sport-study
With the days starting to get shorter and the weather not helping, Yves bought his son a road bike so he can continue training. Especially since Louis’ second part of the season will begin with cyclo-cross, another equally demanding cycling discipline:
It’s much more physical than mountain biking and there’s also the fact that it’s in winter. So, it’s not the same conditions, not counting the mud.
However, that did not prevent him from winning the French U15 champion jersey at the start of the year. But this time, the young pilot is moving into the cadet category where there are more people on the starting line. However, his good performances in the juniors allowed him to start among the first.
With a primary desire to “discover this category” before setting results objectives, Louis participates in the French Cyclo-cross Cup held in Nommay in Doubs this Sunday, October 20. His next step: trying to join the Pôle France Jeunes VTT in Besançon.
