“I feel a little at home here”

“I am really happy and proud that this dream that I have had since I was a child is coming true and that I am turning pro with Soudal Quick-Step”said Recount. “I’ve had a good two years with Team Devo, I’ve learned a lot and I feel like now I’m ready to take the step to the World Tour in just a few months. It’s an amazing team and I feel a bit at home here is time trials, but I also have speed on the flat and when finishing small climbs, so I’m looking forward to finding out what kind of rider I can be. My hope is to become a good classics rider and help the team achieve good results when possible.”

“Andrea has what it takes to build a great career in the WorldTour ranks”added Patrick Lefeveregeneral manager of the Soudal Quick-Step. “He has the work ethic, ambition and mentality to improve and play a role in the team’s success. He is a true team player, as evidenced by his performances at the Giro U23 and at the Tour of Slovakia, to name just a few of the races where he impressed us. We welcome him to the team and look forward to seeing him in action next season.
