The LNC has decided to refer the decision to create a division to the Council of State Continental Federal wanted by the FFC. An additional step therefore taken in the tense relations between the two governing bodies of French Cycling.

As she announced on June 21 during the French Road Cycling Championships, the French Cycling Federation has created a new division called “Continental Federales Men”which will see the light of day from the 2025 season.
This new “continental” division, the existence of which will necessarily be detrimental to the teams belonging to the “professional continental” divisionwas created despite opposition from the National Cycling League.
Indeed, the management of French professional cycling (including teams with the “Continental” label) falls under the prerogatives of the National Cycling League and not those of the French Cycling Federation.
This is why, in order to protect its interests, as well as those of the teams, organizers and professional riders, the National Cycling League has decided to refer the matter to the Council of State.
