Arriving at Cofidis in 2022, Alexis Renard continued with the northern team until the end of 2025. The runner from Plorec-sur-Arguenon (Côtes-d’Armor) has multiplied the places of honor in recent years, like of these 2nd places at the Tour of Poland (2021), the Tour du Munster (2021) and the Agglo Tour (2nd). He also finished 3rd in the general classification at the Tour de Wallonie (2021).

“The feeling of reaching a milestone every year”

Alexis Renard has participated in grand : the Vuelta (2020) and the Tour de (2023, 2024). With this new contract for an additional season, after having just had a complicated year, he says he is calm: “I am very happy with this contract extension because it demonstrates to what extent Cédric (Vasseur, the general manager of the team) and all the staff trust me, appreciates the runner in a press release. I had the chance to experience a lot of good times at Cofidis and I wanted to sign again. I feel really good here, very well integrated and I know how important it is to evolve in a good atmosphere. I really had the feeling of progressing and reaching a milestone every year. »

Alexis Renard, who is still waiting for his first victory under the colors of Cofidis, will be at the start of – Tours, Sunday October 6.

For his part, Cédric Vasseur declares: “Alexis has had a complicated season and hasn’t really been able to express himself on the races that are close to his heart. Nevertheless, we are convinced that he has great potential and that he will return to center stage in 2025. He absolutely needs to get this first success to unlock his counter and I am convinced that a great series of victories will follow. . Alexis will also have a very important role to play alongside our new leaders in the classics and we are counting on him to be there in the races in the North. »
