The cascade of injuries continues for the French team. After the withdrawals of Loïc Badé (injured right thigh), Wesley Fofana (precaution) and Aurélien Tchouameni (injured left foot), it is the turn of Warren Zaïre-Emery to see his international break end suddenly with the Blues. Coming into play during the defeat at the Parc des Princes against Italy (1-3), the PSG midfielder is suffering from an injury to his left calf, news confirmed by the French Football Federation, without the duration of unavailability having been shared.

As a result of this injury, the Parisian will not play the Nations League match scheduled for Monday in Lyon-Decines against Belgium at 8:45 p.m. This is another major setback with the national team for Warren Zaïre-Emery, who had already been injured during his first match with the Blues against Gibraltar after scoring. With the difficulties displayed by Youssouf Fofana and N’Golo Kanté, the 18-year-old midfielder may have had a card to play against the Belgians to get noticed in the eyes of Didier Deschamps.

A new injury for PSG

The absence of Warren Zaire-Emery is not only a blow for France. PSG may have to do without their titi for a while, who was started by Luis Enrique in the first three Ligue 1 games. This is not the only bad news for the Parisians. Vitinha, a midfield leader, left the Portuguese national team to return to Paris after suffering an ankle injury after the 2-1 victory over Croatia.

Another small concern is the injury of Désiré Doué, who scored with the Espoirs against Slovenia (1-1). Coming off shortly before the end of the match, the attacking midfielder was nevertheless reassuring to the press regarding his physical condition: “It’s not very important, I think. My ankle turned a little, it hurts at the time, but it’ll be fine.” With this avalanche of injuries during this international break, there is no doubt that the clubs with French internationals will be keeping an eye on this last match against Belgium. Particularly Real Madrid who hoped to be able to keep their star Kylian Mbappé.
