You are not alone… Cases linked to respiratory viruses (including flu and Covid) are on the rise in Pays de la Loire, according to the Sentinelles network of doctors. It lists 506 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the region for the last week of 2024 (December 23 to 29) compared to 451 cases the previous week.

In detail, is by far the most affected department, with more than 800 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Conversely, a good half of Mayenne is below 225 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Sarthe is also affected by cases of acute diarrhea and chickenpox in much higher numbers than the rest of the region: four times more than the regional average for chickenpox, for example.
