The Reunion Region encourages the practice of sport for all Reunion Islanders and supports Reunion Island leagues, committees and high-level athletes each year. As such, the community supports, for this 2024 editionthe participation of TEAM THE REUNION, up to €50,000.
A word from the President:
“The Réunion Region is honored and proud to support the “La Réunion” crew on the 2024 Tour Voile. We are here to meet our commitments, both for the support of our high-level athletes, but also for the promotion of the Réunion destination on an internationally recognized sporting event.
The sea is demanding but generous and offers sailors endless horizons and dreams of freedom. On the untamed and majestic waters of the English Channel, our crew will proudly wear the colours of Reunion Island. What an honour! What luck! What a responsibility! When you wear the colours of Reunion Island, you serve something greater than yourself. You represent your island, your country and your elders who have sacrificed so much to contribute to the Reunion Island story of our aspiration for freedom. That’s what it means to compete for Reunion Island!
From course to course, from stage to stage, from stopover to stopover, I wish our sailors to show the face of Reunion Island which shines, Reunion Island which has confidence, Reunion Island which speaks to the world. We are counting on them. Beautiful adventure, and good luck! »
