The gendarmes of Saint-Renan (Finistère) could not believe their eyes this weekend. On the night of Friday October 4 to Saturday October 5, 2024, a 19-year-old young man refused to stop his vehicle, despite signs from the police. He was driving while his license was suspended.

To stop him, the police installed a “stop stick”, an instrument in the form of a stick equipped with metal teeth. But despite the puncture of two of his tires, the young man continued his escape by driving on the rims for ten kilometers.

Finally arrested, he was placed in police custody and had his vehicle confiscated. He will be summoned to court.
