Sick with coronavirus, at the time of the pandemic, Al Pacino recounts having come close to death in the podcast “The Interview” offered by the “New York Times”.

Al Pacino, a survivor. This October 5, the actor participated in the “New York Times” podcast entitled “The Interview”. The opportunity for Al Pacino to confide in his significant experience of Covid-19.

Infected by the virus in 2020, the American actor perfectly remembers the physical and psychological consequences on him. The 84-year-old director then says: “What happened was that I didn’t feel well, I was extremely unwell. » A bad experience which manifested itself in multiple symptoms: “I had a fever and I was dehydrated. So I asked someone to send me a nurse to help me hydrate.”

Dangerous consequences for the actor

“I was sitting there in my house and I was gone. Like that. I no longer had a pulse,” he testifies. Indeed, while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive, the actor suffered a malaise which could, according to him, have cost him his life.

While he escaped without any damage, Al Pacino recounts waking up while he was in an emergency vehicle: “They were wearing outfits that looked like they were from space or something. It was quite shocking to open my eyes and see that. Everyone was around me saying, ‘He’s back. He’s here.'” He concludes his testimony with humor by declaring: “You know the actors. It always feels good to say that you’ve died once. »

Since this significant experience in 2020, the actor has regained his health. Indeed, Al Pacino even welcomed a fourth child into the ranks of his family in 2023.
