A golden boy. Alexandre Leauté won his second Paralympic title at the Paris Games on Wednesday by winning the time trial. A medal for which he thanks the public who pushed him to the end of the course in Seine-Saint-Denis. Interview.

Alexandre Leauté appeared relieved after his victory in the C2 time trial on Wednesday, September 4. While immense hopes rested on the shoulders of the 23-year-old Breton before the start of the Paralympic Games, the young man has already fulfilled his promise: “At least two gold medals.”

“I’m so happy,” he let slip, still having a little trouble taking it in. Behind at the first intermediate time, the Breton made the difference in the second part of the 14.5 km of the demanding course laid out in Seine-Saint-Denis. He won by just 2.1 seconds ahead of the Belgian Ewoud Vromant, whom he had already beaten in the pursuit.
