Amir like you’ve never seen him before. The French-Israeli singer unveils today C amiran intimate fourth album, carried by the mourning of his mother in 2021, but also by the attack of October 7, 2023 at the Nova festival, which will give birth to the single “Supernova” on September 6. At 40, the artist revealed to The Voice in 2014 and then became a Eurovision star in 2016, is above all freeing himself from his chains. From more oriental sounds to introspective lyrics, Amir does what he loves, even if it means disappointing some of his audience. The Point: You are back with a very personal album, the most personal so far. How did the project come about?

Amir : I already knew that there would be a next album two years ago. The only constraint was to start creating it. My mother’s death was as painful as it was extremely demotivating for writing. I found myself completely dried up by the situation. Even the little moments of courage or hope to write were tinged with this weight. So I put myself in a condition of voluntary retention. Time passed, my mother disappeared. Then the difficult months of mourning, of reconstruction… Until the moment when I felt that I was finding my mind and my abilities again.
