Absent during the final of the 13e season of “The Voice”, Florent Pagny received a nice tribute. Vianney would have been inspired by him to write the song for his finalist, Baptiste.

If in Belgium, it is BJ Scott who is the emblematic coach of “The Voice”, among our French neighbors, Florent Pagny occupies this place. The singer, who is currently battling cancer, was not present during this 13e season which ended this Saturday, May 15. However, the production has not forgotten him and a discreet tribute from Vianney and Nikos Aliagas was even paid.
Vianney, through his finalist Baptiste, had a thought for his former colleague. “ I would like a baritone to win this year. I know another one, a baritone, normally he is in this chair », begins Vianney. “ Florent Pagny, we kiss you Florent! The Strongest » continues the presenter of “The Voice. »
Author of the song “My dream”, written for Baptiste, Vianney explained that he was inspired by Florent Pagny for writing the lyrics. “ Obviously, Florent touches me and he is part of my personal history » indicates the interpreter of “Where are you? », adding to having used “ the same harmonic reasoning » than what he did when he worked with Florent Pagny. “ There are similar things in their voices. (…) Suffice it to say that I shouldn’t have missed the song. »
Baptiste finally lost to Alphonse during the “Super-final”, receiving only 47% of the public votes.
